Water Use in South Dakota
The U.S. Geological Survey collects and disseminates data on water use in South Dakota and the Nation through the National Water-Use Information Program. National water-use information, which includes water-use estimates for the State of South Dakota, has been published every five years since 1950. The latest publication is U.S. Geological Survey Circular 1405, Estimated Use of Water in the United States in 2010.
